3 Reasons to Say ‘Yes’ to a Lakefront Wedding at Twin Creeks

You’ve probably been dreaming about this day your entire life; it’s time to plan your wedding! We couldn’t be happier for you and your fiance’. Your engagement should be an exciting and joyful time in your life. Take this time to bask in every new moment and experience because it will go by fast.

Your wedding is destined to be one of the absolute best days of your life so far, and you want it to be perfect. If you close your eyes and imagine floating down the aisle towards your intended, what do you imagine your day will look like? Will you stand under an arbor in front of stunning lake views? Would you prefer the seclusion of a wooded backdrop and 100-year-old majestic magnolia? In a modern outdoor venue surrounded by flowers and fairy lights? Whatever the picture you have in mind, our weddings and events team at Twin Creeks Events can help bring that image to life. Read on for three reasons you’ll fall in love with a Twin Creeks wedding.

1 - You will have your pick of one-of-a-kind ceremony spaces.

Where you choose to say ‘I do’ is about much more than seating and an altar. Consider the time of year, the time of the ceremony, and what kind of backdrop you want most for your pictures. Twin Creeks Events offers three unique ceremony options for you and up to 200 guests sharing your special day.

Firefly Pointe

This romantic event space offers you a unique waterfront chapel steps away from stunning Tims Ford Lake. You’ll have a breathtakingly beautiful ceremony followed by an intimate waterside covered, open-air reception. Offer guests s’more-making sessions at our fire pits, cocktail hours, lawn games, or whatever social-worthy reception activity you have in mind on our manicured lawn just steps from the water. Imagine the Instagram captions!

The Grand Magnolia

For a dramatic and impressive backdrop to your big day, you’ll love the Grand Magnolia outdoor venue. Say your vows at the foot of a 100-year-old magnolia, one of the oldest trees in Tennessee, surrounded by your family and friends.  Great for small and large ceremonies, the Grand Magnolia offers you a rich and captivating space so you can soak in every moment of the day. Follow your ceremony with a sophisticated wedding brunch, a fun garden party, a dazzling sunset dinner, or a rockin’ dance party - or anything in between - at our one-of-a-kind outdoor reception space, the Honeysuckle.

The Honeysuckle

This state of the art covered reception area offers a beautiful setting for you and your guests - even if it rains. Located just down the path from Firefly Pointe, you’ll dine and dance in a lavish space with 200 of your closest friends. In the event of rain, our Twin Creeks wedding team can easily transform the space into a cozy (and dry!) wooded waterfront ceremony before transitioning to an elegant reception for you to celebrate your first moments as a married couple.

The Nest

Need a restaurant for the rehearsal dinner? Look no further than The Nest. Our boutique second-floor indoor event venue overlooking Tims Ford Lake can provide a private, celebratory evening before your big day.

2 - You will rest easy knowing every single detail is covered.

Beautiful, flawless weddings don’t happen by chance; they happen through experience. You shouldn’t have to worry about ordering the right table linens, managing all the day-of details, and stressing over caterers. Whether you’re planning a local or destination wedding, a Twin Creeks event provides you with everything you need to enjoy a smooth, stress-free day. Let our experience give you the dream wedding you deserve.

All-inclusive wedding packages

Not only is sourcing all your own wedding venues and vendors time-consuming, but it can also get expensive. For many couples, it makes more sense to book a wedding package that provides more than just a blank canvas for you to fill. According to The Budget Savvy Bride, a dual-purpose venue that serves as space for the ceremony and reception can save you in venue rental fees, transportation costs, and even more importantly, time.

Then there are all the details inside the space. Have you thought of things like chairs, tables, linens, aisle runners, food, drinks, and bartenders - oh my!  Don’t panic. We have thought of all that and hundreds of other important details you need to ensure a magical wedding. And you won’t have to worry about paying extra for every little detail. Our customizable all-inclusive packages include the ceremony and reception venue, officiant services, experienced wedding planning and day-of coordination, a bridal area for getting ready, ceremony and reception seating, catering, bar service, and other wedding must-haves.

Experienced wedding coordinators

In addition to planning the details that create the ambiance you want at your wedding, you’ll also need someone with their eye on wedding logistics, timelines, food, and sometimes even overly-enthusiastic wedding guests. Our experienced coordinators help you bask in the glory of your moment without dealing with someone’s (adorable) little one “taste-testing” your cake before is time or someone’s (not-so-adorable) “plus one” getting a little too cozy at the bar. We’ve seen, and we’re ready for, it all.

Trusted wedding partners

You’ve got your wedding space, essentials, and services that our all-inclusive packages provide. What’s left? We’ll provide you with a hand-selected list of our trusted wedding service partners to help you feel confident that you have the right vendors to make your day special. Our partners include services for:

  • Photography
  • Videography
  • Hairstyling
  • Make-up
  • Cakes and desserts

In addition to them being highly skilled artists, our relationship with them gives you peace of mind that they’ll show up, be on time, and give their very best.

Fairy tale-worthy accommodations

One of the most stressful situations when planning a wedding is planning where to stay for the event.  Should you block a certain number of rooms in a local hotel and then worry about having to pay for rooms that don’t get booked? Risk booking an unknown Airbnb even though you might not get what you were expecting? And how will you manage transportation between your home or hotel and the venue, all while trying to remember everything you need for the ceremony and reception?

Your wedding day should be a time for excitement, not anxiety. We developed Twin Creeks Resort and Marina to be a lakefront community that takes having fun and making memories seriously. And that includes the way we offer weddings.

Stay in a three-story, seven-bedroom, six-bathroom bridal house, The Mimosa, and share an elegant, luxurious place to call home with your bridal party before your wedding. The Mimosa also features a gourmet kitchen, a huge media and recreation room with a bar, a covered back porch, and a world-class bridal suite. Your entire bridal party can be pampered in the bridal suite, which boasts six custom-built vanities for a spa-like atmosphere. You’ve never imagined “getting ready” photos like these!

When it’s time for the ceremony, Firefly Pointe is just a short walk down a secluded path (think First Looks!) Or request a personal golf cart escort to take you to the lakefront chapel.

We didn’t leave grooms out either. Our new two-story, six-bedroom groom’s house is currently being built, expected to be ready by summer 2021.

Guests stay in style

Twin Creeks Resort offers your family and other guests several accommodation options for your wedding. They can rent one of our unique, professionally cleaned and managed LakeBnBs, a space in our RV Resort, or book one of our brand new waterside cottages, currently under construction and expected to be complete this spring.

3 - You can make the moment last.

Your wedding day will go by in a flash, and you want to make the most of the time you have to celebrate with the people who love you.  Consider turning your wedding into a weekend to remember by planning a two or three-day event. This can include planned activities, such as a welcome cocktail party, a rehearsal dinner, and a post-wedding brunch, and can give you a little extra time with well-wishers. You can also plan or recommend activities for guests, like boat rentals, sunset cruises, golf tee times, poolside barbecues, or whatever else you had in mind.

Or send all your guests away and start your honeymoon off without having to leave the resort. Rent kayaks or a boat for the day, book a romantic sunset cruise, have a fireside picnic, spend an evening by the pool, or take a leisurely stroll through our walking trails. You can even rent a golf cart for convenient transportation to and from your rental house. If you decide to get out and explore, there are many local sites and attractions for every adventurer.
